CHALLENGE
Soul Harvesters Outreach Ministry was formed out of the persistent cries for help from the communities in Charleston, South Carolina, and the tri-county area. Families in our communities were silently hurting and lacking the resources necessary to thrive physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. While they had a strong presence in their community, their working website lacked the necessary format to serve as a connecting platform between the organization and potential partners and or investors.
APPROACH
I aimed to create a website that effectively communicated the ministry’s core values: honesty, approachability, seriousness, activity, and community engagement. To achieve this, I began by delving into the organization’s foundational concept, leveraging the abundance of social proof they had amassed. In collaboration with Executive Director Sylvia, I meticulously curated a diverse range of assets that had previously gone unnoticed, packaging them in a format that is easily digestible and resonates with the audience.
Allowing content to shine with effective design.
I aimed to encourage exploration through an elevated and simple User Experience. Recognizing the expansive audience, I understood the imperative for our content to be adaptable in numerous ways. To cater to diverse needs, my focus was on enhancing the underlying user experience (UX) of the site. We delved into the integration of novel features designed to deliver a rich, utility-driven experience, ensuring a seamless navigation experience with no dead-ends.
