CHALLENGE

Designing for a designer presents its unique challenge. Like many creatives, Samantha had a clear vision of what she wanted. Still, she found herself caught in the all-too-familiar trap of overanalyzing the finer details, which can quickly spiral into a tangled web of ideas. My design mentor, Mr. Balzano, often reminded me, “There are no bad ideas, only ideas hindered by poor timing and execution.” As Loomlux approached its 10th year in business, it needed a website that conveyed both its seasoned professionalism and the elegance of its offerings. The existing site lacked the sophistication and functionality required to engage high-end clientele and showcase the full breadth of their services. Our challenge was to craft a modern, visually engaging website that emphasized their passion for interior design while driving conversions and inquiries from yacht owners and luxury homeowners.

APPROACH

Ie began by diving deep into Loomlux’s brand identity and customer base to understand what truly sets them apart. The new design needed to be clean, elegant, and reflective of their expertise in creating beautiful, functional spaces.

AN INDUSTRIOUS IDENTITY

LOOM: An apparatus for making fabric by weaving yarn or thread.

TAKING INSPIRATION FROM HISTORY

The logo for Loom Luxury Linens, with its interlocking “L”s, cleverly references the art of weaving, an essential aspect of early fabric-making. In traditional loom weaving, threads (warp and weft) are intricately interlaced to form fabric, and this logo captures that interconnectivity through its geometric design. The two “L”s overlap much like threads crossing on a loom, symbolizing craftsmanship and precision. Historically, weaving has been a symbol of both artistry and labor, making the logo a fitting representation of the brand’s dedication to high-quality, artisanal linens.
